2011 Heavy Metal Grammy Nods

Let me preface all this by asking: does anyone actually gives two, even one shit(s) about the Grammys? Moreover, will anyone actually be watching them? Didn’t think so. Nonetheless, the Grammy nominations have been announced and while you’re here, you might as well check them out after the jump.

And the Academy seems to think that

Iron Maiden- “El Dorado”

Lamb of God- “In Your Words”

Korn- “Let the Guilt Go”

Megadeth- “Sudden Death” (Yup, the track exclusively for Guitar Hero)

Slayer- World Painter Blood

Were the greatest metal performances of this year. 

Ozzy’s name got dropped into the hat for Best Hard Rock Performance along with Sound Garden, Stone Temple Pilots, Them Crooked Vultures, and Alice in Chains.
